    · Fiberglass insulation is used primarily for thermal and acoustical purposes in wall cavities, attics and other critical open spaces in building assemblies.

    ·  Rigid fiber insulation consists of either fiberglass or mineral wool material and is primarily used for insulating air ducts.

    ·   Manufactured in two different forms: pre-cut batts and rolls, and blown-in loose-fill.

    ·  Fiberglass is a composite material made of a plastic matrix reinforced by tiny glass fibers. It is lightweight, strong and less brittle.

    ·   Fiberglass insulation stops conduction heat transfer and withstands high temperatures.
